Biographical
Ms. Veazey has dedicated her practice to mediation since 1995 and has mediated over 2,500 cases. She is one of six attorneys selected from Mississippi to serve as an Appeals Judge for the Gulf Coast Claims Facility established to hear appeals from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill claims determinations. After practicing with Watkins, Ludlam, Winter, and Stennis, Ms. Veazey was a financial advisor and stock broker. Her business experience includes owning a retail business. Her practice has included mediation of disputes in areas of personal injury, employment, domestic relations, nursing home, medical and legal malpractice, workers’ compensation, commercial law, premises liability, product liability and MS State Tort Claims Act .

Education
Ms. Veazey holds a B.A. from UCLA (1973) and J.D., Summa Cum Laude (1978), from Mississippi College School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Law Review.
Memberships & Affiliations
She is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and is the vice chair of the Executive Committee of the Mississippi State Bar ADR Section. She served on the Court-annexed Mediation Committee. She is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and the Association of Attorney Mediators. She presents programs regularly for business and professional organizations and has lectured at various CLE seminars on Alternative Dispute Resolution. She assists in teaching and evaluates and judges students’ performances in ADR classes and competitions at Mississippi College School of Law.
